In-Year Admissions

The normal entry points to the school are in Years 7 and Year 12 (Sixth Form). We therefore rarely have places available in other year groups.

There are currently no places available in Years 7 – 11. Please note that this does not include the main entry into Year 7 in September of each academic year.

In-Year applications for places in these years will be tested if and when a place becomes available. Applicants are placed on our Register of Interest. If an In-Year vacancy does occur because of a student leaving the school, all applicants on the Register will be invited to sit tests set by the school. These tests will not replicate the Gloucestershire Grammar Schools’ Entrance Test (which children take for a place in Year 7) but will seek to establish whether the applicant will fit both within the ability levels of the current year group and the curriculum offered at the school.

Moving from another county

Please note that if you are moving into Gloucestershire from another county or another country, you must apply for an In-Year school place using the In-Year application form on the Gloucestershire County Council website – Gloucestershire County Council Admissions (In-Year).
