Pate's in the Community
As part of their whole learning experience, we place great importance on giving our students opportunities to engage with and work alongside the local community, instilling in our students a keen sense of social responsibility and stewardship for their local environment. This is actively encouraged throughout each Patesian’s time at the school.
Students from all Year groups engage in a range of activities that help to integrate them fully into the community that we serve, and get involved in supporting charities and organisations that are close to our hearts.
These include food collections for our local partners at the West Cheltenham Community Pantry (WCCP), Christmas Cards for Cheltenham Care Homes initiative, Valentine’s Day Care Home Projects, Community Gardening, Community Concerts, Litter Picking, and volunteering at local organisations like Family Space, as well as inspiring learning in our local Cheltenham primary students through our Shaping Futures programme.
Many of these initiatives are planned and led by our enthusiastic and resourceful Sixth Form Community Committee, who play a key role in organising and sourcing areas which we can get involved with as a school.
There is something for every learner, in every year group. Willingly supporting others and making a positive difference to the world around us are qualities which Patesians take with them beyond their time here at the school.
