University Destinations 2025 Degree Apprenticeships

Higher Education Guidance

Throughout Year 12, the team offer Higher Education sessions on many topics including Unifrog, exploring options, UCAS applications, personal statements, and applying to study outside the UK. In Year 13, this continues with information on student finance, apprenticeships, new degrees, UCAS updates and support, CVs and personal branding.

We guide students through their UCAS/apprenticeship applications giving them help and advice along the way.
This expertise is also available to our Year 14s if they decide to take a gap year or defer their application.

Careers Choices

We also offer careers advice, interview practice and welcome speakers and Old Patesians from competitive universities throughout the year. Advice and guidance is also available for parents and cares, with presentations on topics such as Student Finance.

Pate’s Futures Fair

Open to our Sixth Formers and their families, this annual event is attended by 30+ universities and more than 20 businesses attend, alongside gap year organisations and Old Patesians, who return to share their experiences of university and their professional journeys.
