A Level Subjects
Centred around academic rigour, Pate’s Sixth Form offers an enriching curriculum that empowers you to explore new opportunities and achieve your aspirations.
In Year 12, we very much value breadth of academic study and offer two equally academic pathways that suit our learners. A combination of breadth and depth enable all students to progress to their preferred post-18 destination without narrowing their options too early. Therefore, when applying for Pate’s Sixth Form, you will have the option to select from two Pathways:
Pathway One:
Start with four A Levels (five only permitted if one is Further Maths). You are expected to maintain your commitment to four subjects until at least the end of the Spring Term of Year 12.
Pathway Two:
Start with three A Levels plus the Extended Project Qualification (see our prospectus for more information). You will have timetabled supervised study sessions and will complete the EPQ by the end of Year 12.
