Beaufort Win House Dance Competition

House Dance 2025 took place on the final day of term, rounding off the calendar year perfectly.

Our thanks to Judges Mrs Taylor, Mr Johnson (Pate’s staff) and Guest Judge, Anna Firkins, a professional dancer and dance teacher of nearly 20 years.

The Panel awarded prizes for Dancing Technique (Richmond); Choreography (Beaufort); Diversity (Pembroke); House Spirit (York) and Presentation (Gloucester) – reflecting the morning’s fabulous spectacle of dance, creativity, teamwork, energy and House Spirit!

Congratulations to the Winners of House Dance 2026, Beaufort.

Isla, Bella and the Year 13 Beaufort House Officials share,
“House Dance is one of our favourite House events, and it being our last on-stage House event at Pate’s made it all the more special.

What makes this one of our favourites is the atmosphere when watching and performing, as everyone is so supportive and encouraging. It was so much fun having the opportunity to choreograph dances, from the House Official dance and ‘mini me’s, to the Year 7 small group and the whole House dance and seeing our visions come to life. It was great to see everyone getting involved at rehearsals and stepping outside of their comfort zone to give it their all for Beaufort.

We are so proud of everyone who represented Beaufort in solos, small groups, the whole House dance or cheering on rehearsals as it is all part of the process to bring together a performance as special as this one was. Our theme this year being Growing Up which truly felt like a full circle moment and passing on the enthusiasm for House events onto the younger years to grow up with is a really special feeling.

Receiving the choreography award for our dance and becoming the overall Winners made the event so memorable and makes all of the dedication and commitment all the more worth while. Seeing every House perform and being able to celebrate dance in such a positive environment makes the House system at Pate’s so unique and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experiences and memories!!”
