House Swimming Gala 2026

On 10 February, our House Swimming Gala took place at Leisure at Cheltenham, in their 25m indoor pool.

In total, 279 swimmers took part, spanning all Year groups. This full-day event saw some outstanding performances from teams and individuals.  Well done to all swimmers, and congratulations to those students who set new school swimming records (click here to view).

Gloucester House came away victorious from the day, named overall Winners for House Swimming 2026.

Gloucester Officials shared,
“House Swimming Gala was a thrilling experience for the whole of Gloucester and definitely one we won’t forget for years to come! From all our individual winners, including Birdie (Yr 7), who won Best Swimmer for Minor Girls, Harriet (Yr 8) for Junior Girls and Olalla (Yr 13) for Senior Girls, to setting records as a team in Relay, our talent and enthusiasm was proudly showcased throughout the event!

Even though we didn’t win the House Officials’ Race (though arguably we had the best costume – Shrek!), and a few people were well submerged along the way, we still fought to the very end in true G-unit spirit and came out on top! Just as impressive was the support from the sidelines creating a buzzing atmosphere and cheering every swimmer on! It was a fantastic display of unity and resilience and represented what Gloucester is truly about!”
