Pate’s School Council Update

Our School Council meets every Wednesday Lunchtime and comprises reps from each year group, who stand on Council for an entire academic year.

Since the start of the year, School Council has addressed many different issues. From the Refectory to the Sixth Form Centre, each member has championed the causes which are most important to their year group. In this way, the School Council has achieved far-reaching successes such as assisting in the development of plans for a new, Sixth Form-orientated addition to the Refectory building. As well as this, we are finalising the introduction of an equipment lending system, where students will be able to borrow sports supplies such as tennis rackets. Other plans currently in progress include changes to the Refectory menu, more microwaves,  a prospective new House Event (House Coding) and much more.

The School Council would like to take this opportunity to remind the student body that we are here to represent you and what you want for this school. If you have any further ideas that we are not already addressing, please take them to your year’s School Council representative. We are dedicated to ensuring Pate’s is the best it can be for every member of our school.
